Valve stem seal replacement
So... my valve stem seals have completely gone. When I let the car idle for a few minutes, then rev the engine slightly, I get blue smoke shooting out of the tail pipe.
I did some quick research on the topic and it seems like something that can easily be done in a home garage. All you need is a valve spring compressor and an air compressor. My roommate has a large air compressor and I think they sell the tool spring compressor at autozone. I'm novice to intermediate with working on cars and whatnot.
Should I attempt to replace these seals, or take the car somewhere else to do it?
Any advice (what to look out for, etc..) from people who may have already done this procedure is welcomed.
