Default Want to modify need suggestions

Hey I just bought a Audi A4 1.8t Quattro 2001 manual transmission with 100,000 miles on it

I have 1500$ saved up and i want to modify my car.

Basically i am looking more for torque than top speed (live in San Diego no autobahn like back home), i want to be the quickest here not the fastest. Down here by the time you hit 80 you need to be cautious for other drivers everywhere.

But 0 - 100 are the speeds i want to max out my acceleration for the money i have.

I dont know to much about audi's, though i found it was my favorite car out of all i looked at. German Engineering, nothing better.

What should i do?
Chip? exhaust? downpipe? cold air intake?

Any suggestions would be great but please include the titles of the product K&N etc so i know which to buy. And i know .. ebay has all the products way cheaper than brand new.

My opinion is ... fist thing = chip ... for a Giac it will cost around 500$ and for your engine it will give you a extra 40hp / 80ft/lbs. After that, since your turbo will be pushing more boost, you should look for High Flow cat, downpipe, exhaust ... but by the time you're done with that, you'll be over budget ... and I know Ebay got some good deal but be careful not to buy cheap imitation cause you'll regret it later on ...

Good luck with your project

definately chip it before all else. oh and cold airs don't do much for power, only for a nice deep sound and they make the turbo be able to be heard better.
