Default Wet Floor.... WTF!

So my B5 just learned a new trick. If it rains or I wash my car I end up with a wet rear floor behind the drivers seat.
I have ruled out the sunroof, door jams, roof lines/gutters, trunk gutters and basically any thing that would be easy to identify.
My #1 suspect is the black plastic vent ducting under my seat.

Anyone been down this road before?
Lil help?

PS: "My seat" = drivers seat.

ah, i hate wet floors! in my case it was the tiny little drain directly under the battery tray, which had like 2 leaves stuck in it. the entire cowl area would fill up with water until it spilled into the cabin via the big hole behind the ecu where the wires feed through.

Not sure if that's where yours is coming in, but it's worth popping the hood to see if the cowl area is full of standing water or not.

i experienced the cowl fill up issue. I was washing my windshield, popped open the door and OH **** my car is like the titanic! I had to siphon the water out, it was bad!

Devil can appreciate the situation I was in earlier this month. My car flooded in the passenger front and rear after biblical rains fell in North NJ. The sunroof drains were not clogged, and the cowl was clear as well. I attribute the amount of rain that fell to be the cause, I guess the car couldn't shed the water quick enough.

Needless to say, as long as you made sure that all the drains you stated weren't clogged, I 'd be concerned about finding EXACTLY where it is coming from.

I had to siphon out the cowl because the water was just pouring in!

Thanks for all the input.... I had a feeling it was coming from the battery/brake reservoir cowling area... gonna go check today.....as soon as it stops raining! LOL

Thanks again.
