Whale noises

Default Whale noises

Hello, when i turn my wheel either way, it sounds like my steering wheel is making whale noises, what could it be??

it sounds like it needs power steering fluid

the sound went away, i dont know it only seems to happen if im just stationary and making the wheels turn... I bought some steering fluid from auto zone that was 30$ (because it was german) and i filled that up.. so i dont know if its that..

Sounds like it was just low. For future reference you should stick with this kind...
Pentosin 11S. Hydraulic Fluid 11S Synthetic Base, CHF 11.S, or make sure it has this info.

When you turn the wheel while stationary it puts a lot of strain on the power steering system. Topping of the fluid probably helped a lot. I try to refrain from turning the wheels while stationary as much as possible.

And as for the whale's species: Mother-In-Law Whale. The loudest of the all.

have fun replacing the power steering pump.. flush that fluid out of there and get the pestonin stuff
