It probably is but it makes no sense to me. Higher octane doesn't really mean higher emissions I don't think.

Costco 92. I read an article that said Costco doesnt put a 10 percent ethanol blend in their gas (or didnt at one point) unlike almost every other gas station.

I use the shell 93. Get a discount when I use my Giant card at Shell so...

@Dallas

not sure but I believe that the Gubmint now requires all gasoline sellers to use an ethanol blend in order to subsidize all the poor farmers who want to convert their corn to fuel. Sorry, what I mean to say was all the poor start up businesses people, who are obviously bad at chemistry, that want to try to turn the poor farmers corn into fuel.

My car runs on shattered dreams.

But seriously, anything from a brand name refiner that is 93 octane. Should I be using 91 for the 1.8?

me too and shell.

And for all of those guys that use lowest... thats really bad. No offense, but I really hate it when people don't take care of their car, instead of paying 6 extra dollars a month, for your car to run good, you gunna pay alot more later on, unless you manage to dump it on someone else...which is worse..
