Default what kind of tires are you rollin'?

Its come to the time where I need new tires. I'd like something thats good in the snow and mud but can still make their way through any BS street race. Nothing special, I don't want street racing tires, just something grippy on and off road. Money is an object, nothing above the average tire price, please.

Also, I've taken sort of an interest to white wall tires. Could I even find a set that works with the OEM wheels?

Street and offroad are two total different things, you can't have a tire thats "good" for both, you get either or, or you get something thats "Meh" for both. You will mainly be looking at a set of all seasons. And define "average" tire price, walmart tires at $50 a tire or real tires at $150 a tire... Or that one place I bought tires at all last summer for $15 a tire! Check tire rack in their all season and it will give you a good idea on what prices look like.

I'm running Yokohama Advans for all-seasons. The price is decent and they grip pretty well in poor weather (rain/snow)....they cannot handle twisties though.

I recently slapped on Hankook Venus V12s and I love them. I am more of a fan of committed summer and winter tires though.

GoodYear Response Edge in 225/45/17. Great all season tire IMO.

I just had 4 Falken ZE912 225/50/R16s installed last friday. I'm happy with them so far, but anything is an improvement over what I was running before. They're supposed to just be a middle of the range tire, nothing amazing in any one dept. M+S rated and about $80/tire.

Continental Extreme Contact DW's. Great tires. They come in an all season version also, better treadwear, less grip.

Agreed.

My father runs the all-season counterpart--DWS (Dry, Wet, Snow)--they're not bad, but can't compete with what I run.

Primary summer set: Yokohama S Drive on staggered 18" wheels
Secondary summer: ContiSportContact 3 on staggered 17" wheels
Winter set: Dunlop Winter Sport 3D on 16" wheels

Trying to drive the Conti's on snow is LOL-worthy, but it's so worth it having dedicated summer and winter sets.

Dedicated summer/winter wheels ftw.

That being said, I'm on Falken 512's right now. Nothing special, and I won't be using them in the snow, but I heard they're fine.

I have Hankook ventus v12 tires. I love them too. IMO they're the best tires for the price.
