Check the coolant hoses going to your oil cooler, right above the oil filter.

I lightly tapped the curb when i came in and parked where it is when the thing went splash. I think I loosened something with the oil filter fiasco and the curbing of the tires was the final blow to whatever it was. I cant find the source of the leak.... can someone maybe spot it in these pics?

I feel ridiculously nooby right now... but I just dont wanna drive to work tomorrow if I know that there will be no coolant running into my engine. I jacked up my car using the in-car jack to see if it would allow me to access any lines.... this is the only one i could see short of removing the oil filter.

The leak might be easier to see if you start the car. I had the same problem and added water to my reservoir, then started it and saw coolant leaking from the oil cooler. The oil cooler is the part you were talking about that the oil filter screws into. (I think.. I'm a noob too, with a diff engine.)

I'm just worried because.... its not really a leak. On the first picture you can see there is a large puddle on the ground... that shot was taken about 2 minutes after i stopped the car. Something came loose when i curbed the car and sprayed everything. I just cant find what line is the sprayer. turning the car on just makes wierd noises and i'm not seeing more leakage

Hmm... You don't have a cracked block or anything do you??? Check your oil and make sure there isn't any white stuff (coolant) in there. Try starting the car and look around to see if you can see anything at all. It might be hard to see but I am sure you will find it. You don't just get a leak that big and have no sign of where it is leaking from.

Bump

I cant find the leak and I need to go to work. It makes all sorts of rickety noises when I start it up but it goes and it starts squirting again... But some of the spray is hitting my radiatior fan which sends the stuff everywhere getting everything wet... so everything looks the same

I know its just a hose that is loose but for the life of me I cant figure it out

I might as well post the solution to the problem.

turns out when my friend was unscrewing the oil filter, he tweaked the position of the oil cooler... which put a coolant line against the alternater belt. The belt then cut a hole in the line, causing the mayhem.

Unfortunatly I couldnt find the problem myself so i'm punched in the gut with a 150 dollar charge for a dumb line that I couldnt find.

today was a sad day [&:]

well at least you don't have to worry about it anymore! I had a feeling that's what it was.

that is rly weird, first of all the oil filter shouldn't be on there that tight and the oil cooler shouldnt move at all.
