What is the required coil voltage for fuel pump relay?
So I am in the process of troubleshooting a 2001 Audi A4 2.8.
1. Car won't start, not getting fuel.
2. Checked fuel pump, have 1.2 ohms or so.
3. Checked voltage on pins 1 and 4 of fuel pump connector, have nothing.
4. Pulled fuel pump relay, tested on 12V battery, operates like it should.
5. Tested the coil voltage pins on the relay socket and have between 6 and volts depending on the charge of the battery. The relay does not engage at this voltage level. Also, read 40 ohms across relay coil.
Do I have a bad relay or is there some kind of voltage regulator I am missing?
Thanks!
