i have a stock 98 audi a4 1.8T. i want to get as much power out of that little four banger as posible. im going to do the whole stage III+ setup from APR but what should i do after that and how will the drivetrain hold up it is the quattro.

 

well the stage III+ from APR is for the 2001 only...
however you could do the full stage III, with a full exhaust setup, aftermarket DV(obviously) and a carbonio intake.
those 3 things are pretty much a necessity to runt he stage III.
you should definitely look into brakes upgrades as well as clutch/flywheel.

 

yea i would look into sway bars, control arms, coilover as well... cuz u can go fast all day long, but if u cant control that power then whats the point?

and personally i already notice movement of my transmission, id prolly look into the stabilizer bar...

ya know what this question is just too generic. you really have to do a lot of reading and research to know your limitations on stock parts to know where to start and what you need next. just asking opinion isn't gonna help you.

if you want as much power from a 4banger save your money on the stage 3 and just bore it out to a 2.0 BT and one day you might be like Mike throwing down 800hp and eating transmissions!
