What size bolt for cat to exhaust? 1.8t

Default What size bolt for cat to exhaust? 1.8t

I removed the cat from the exhaust and all 3 bolts broke! What size are they? I need to tap them or helicoil them.

its M8x35. i had to cut mine all off so what I did was just got some stainless steel bolts and nuts from a hardware store.

idk what the pitch is, but the holes in the cat and downpipe are not threaded so you will need nuts as well. so when youre at the hardware store just get some stainless nuts that fit whatever bolts you buy

the cat has nuts that are welded on it..I guess I'll get m8 x 1.25 and m8 x 1.5 and see what works. It's most likely one of those.

really? hmm, thats not what the diagram shows. what year and is it FWD or Quattro?
