But I realized that my wheels have some pretty serious chunks out of the sides from the previous owner hitting curbs, so I am going to do the DIY where you fill the missing wheel, sand it down, and paint it. My question is, what color should I paint it, and could you post examples of the color you mean? I was thinking gloss black or gunmetal..

Don't do gunmetal, they're just going to look like they're covered in brake dust.

 

if the wheel is uniform it wont matter what color it is. Plus the darker it is, the less effort you have to put in to keep them clean

It's a no-brainer. Gloss black with a silver lip and anyone who disagrees is wrong.

 

Yeah and I'll keep the center caps the same. Or what I really want to do is like fill the emblem imbedded into the center cap with like wax and then paint it black, too, so only the symbol is silver..

 

Any of them would look good.I like silver with silver I think the car stands out with that combo (very bright and shiny)
