Default Wheel stuck to rotor

So it makes me feel like less of a man to admit this, but I can't get my right front wheel off of my car. I was planning on rotating my tires this weekend. I pulled the lugs from it and it's not budging.

I'm looking for some recommendations as to how to get it dislodged. I'm toying with the idea of lowering it back to the ground with the lugs removed (or very loose at least) so that the weight of the car can help dislodge it, but I was wondering if you guys had any other suggestions.

Thanks guys!

-Mike

Just give the tire a good kick. Like towards the car. It will come off

yea a few taps with a rubber mallet on the bottom of the tire.. if the taps dont work then maybe a couple of convincing hits should do the trick..

I'll give the rubber mallet a shot. I had thought of that but didn't want to buy one.

On the kicking front: if I kicked it any harder, I'd break my foot.

If the mallet doesn't work give this a try, it should knock it loose.

Seriously tho, if needed you can put the lugs on 1/2 way and lower it, but be careful not to jack up the treads

put the lugs back on but don't tighten it down. set the car down, start it and turn the wheel back and forth a couple of times

Yeah happens to me from time to time too, its cause the wheels and rotors are made from dissimilar metals, so it promotes corrosion. I'm upgrading to zinc-plated rotors this spring, hopefully that'll help.
