Default wheel swap

I have a 97 2.8 and I have the 4 spoke wheel, it is a little worn and I was thinking about replacing it. I thought if i was going to replace it, I might as well got with the sexy 3 spoke sport wheel. Has anyone done this swap?... are the two wheels compatable on the hub that I have?

I'm pretty sure the OP is talking about the steering wheel.

And yeah, I think they're easily swappable...it might be a little trickier if you have a Tip and want the buttons to be functional.

There are two different mounting style. Gosh, I can't get any of my facts to come to my mind tonight, but the 4-spokes can go on either a splined piece with a nut or just a nut, while the 3 spokes have to have the splines, so only sometimes will the 3 work on the 4. Gosh, I really feel dumb for not having anything to back up my statement tonight or have a definite reasoning behind it, but, no, they are not Always swappable.

If i get a 3 spoke wheel from a 97 a4 2.8 to replace my 4 spoke wheel on the same car, do you think that will fit, or at least give me the best chance of fitment i suppose?

it should be a direct swap, i did it on my 96. it will make the interior of your car look 100x better.
