Alright Ive got a 01 Avant 1.8t with the k03s. My turbo seized and there is a stock turbo out of a totaled 2004 Passat 2.0t w/ 44k that I can get locally the part number on the turbo is 06F145701C k03 5303970086. Will this fit and is it a better turbo? I'm pretty sure its a "K03s" is this correct? Also any risk of driving the car with it seized it drives fine just real slow. Thanks I need to figure this out by tomorrow before I go look at the turbo.

 

Did you pull off the intake or cat to make sure it's seized and not just in limp mode or a broken flapper. Don't see how you would hurt anything though. Maybe clamp the wastgate open so it doesn't try to push air through it.

 

Im going to pull it out tomorrow, But i was 2 quarts low and had to swerve on the highway when it died. most likely starved it of oil. It doesn't make any boost just the sound of air rushing by the fins.
