will a newer flipblade remote work if i currently have a 1997 remote + key

I currently have a remote with a key (seperate) and they work fine but i would like to have a newer style flip key-remote ?

will the remote work ? do they use the same frequencies ??

From what I've read, if your car didn't come with the switchblade key, it's not compatible with it.

my car is a 1997 and i have a flip key

all functions work perfectly

dont ask me how it is possible, cause i tell no secrets

that remots came out in like 96 97 didnt it so im thinking if your key is flat like our remote ones you should be able to get someone to make you a key than program the remote in it
