I went from no tint to 20% tint all around and I've seen no difference in temp. Only difference is looking much 'cooler' ahahaha

No tints on the audi.

My last car (chrysler 300) had pretty decent tint all around and it did seem to me that it helped keep the interior a little cooler (grey cloth).

A lot of it depends on the "formulation" of the tints. Some of the more high end films claim to block a significant amount of IR and UV without necessarily being dark.

Hopefully someone with some of the "scientific" knowledge can chime in here.

^Yep. In my research most window tints do not prevent infrared waves from entering.

I have 35% all around because that is legal limit in CT. I also have a black interior and all I can say it gets hot as ***** inside my car when it sits in the sun. I usually open the windows from the door, then get in turn on the A/C and stand outside the car until the idle goes down and it cools off for a minute.

I can't say if it makes it any cooler inside, but tints are also supposed to protect the interior from sun damage, cracking and fading.

The leatherette/vinyl doesn't help at all. Talk about swamp *** haha. Just start putting your boxers in the freezer before you go for a ride. I wish we could have cold air coming through the holes like new Benz and Lexus.

I was thinking about getting a windshield shade for when I park in the sun at work or at home.
