Sounds like it's the Rain-X, not your blades. Rain-X was designed for Airplanes which have no wipers. Don't get me wrong, I like Rain-X, but it cost me a new windshield on one of my other cars. Unfortunately, I had a crack in my windshield and was trying to repair it, but the adhesive they use wouldn't stick to the glass. Culprit...Rain-X.</P>

I have had that problem with the skipping, and I originally thought it was the blades were loose or something. I also load up on the rain-x as well and thought that might be the reason for the skip. Not sure what blades you are using, but I was using the rain-x latitudes and as soon as I switched to Bosch marathon blades the skip stopped. Hope this helps, I know how annoying it can be =S. Good Luck!
