Default Would this sound good?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has this type of setup or knows if the bass would sound good being mounted sideways in the trunk like in the picture below? Anyone thoughts would help because i'm comsidering a setup up like this so i don't lose the space and could easily place skiis throught the seats or w/e else fits. Thanks

there are stealth boxes that go on the rear deck. i forget who makes them but they are rare. you can make something like that and run 2 10"

Fi Q12

For ported, you'd need to stick to certain 10"s because ported boxes need to be bigger. Port diameter/length depends on the subwoofer you pick. I highly recommend the Fi Q12 sealed for this application. A JL 12w0 or 12w3 would also work but the Fi is better.

And Dragonrage, how would a 10" from Fi compare to the Q12 for the Sq in this car. Would a 10" just not cut it enough like the Q12 would?

Depends on how much bass you're looking for. The Q12 is a good deal better than a Q10 (or pretty much any 10" subwoofer other than, say, a TC Sounds/Audipulse LMS Ultra), but the Q10 (and some other 10" subwoofers) still kick the crap out of many lower end 12" and even some 15"s. If you want to know compare capabilities, compare the volumetric displacement (Vd) parameter in the Thiele-Small parameters of a driver (speaker).

Oh, and do me a favor and AVOID ALPINE AND PIONEER. Please! I'm sick of seeing people buy that junk.
