Default Wow!

so i just got my car back yesterday, after having my chain tensioner replaced, and my timing belt done. and wow yup, not a fun bill to look at. I just didn't want to do this all myself, i'm not quite that skilled. Anyways, after that horrer of a bill, i'm really glad to have my car back, now my blinkers have not been working and the mechanic had told me it is a hazard flasher unit, does anybody know if this is a part thats able to be picked up at just like checker or napa?

napa will definately not stock that item. cheapest places will be online or local junkyards. try ebay or contact http://www.ap-specialties.com/

Hazard switch is usually pretty cheap from a dealer. The problem with ordering it from online is that you can get a bad one out of the package and have to send it back. Junkyard switches will likely be burnt out, or ready to burn out, or could be an outdated version. NAPA or any other generic local parts store won't carry it as it's a dealer-only item.

Honestly, it's one of those junky switches Audi/VW updated a dozen times and they are still a pain. Just get one from a local dealer. Plan on replacing the surrounding trim while you're at it; they often crack or the tabs break during removal/reinstallation.
