Unhappy WTF did i do to my car!?!

I just replaced my driver side transmission mount according to the directions in my Chilton's repair manual. I used the Street Density mount from 034 Motorsport and all seemed to go well until a few seconds after I started my car. It started to tremble a little bit, then a lot. Then it started shaking to the point where I felt it was necessary to turn my car off. I started it again only to have the same thing happen all over again. I can understand a slight increase in vibrations, but nothing even close to this extent. It shakes violently after a few seconds of running.

Please help!!!

i dunno man, i have the same mounts in mine and they work fine, theres a little vibration but nothing too bad.

does holding the clutch in or releasing it change the vibration level? does the shifter shake around violently? its a pretty strait forward job, i really dont know what you could have screwed up for it to do this... did you forget some bolts somewhere and the transmission is jumping around like metal on metal?

I figured it was pretty straight forward too. I even jacked the car back up to see if there were any gaps or missing bolts, nope, none. As soon as the vibrations worsened I pushed the clutch in, but it didn't do anything at all. I don't think the shifter shook any more than the rest of the car. The only noise I hear is the car itself vibrating, no clanging metal or anything.

I just got off the phone with 034 Motorsport, and they said even that much vibration is normal and it will break in over time. I'm still skeptical, but I'll trust the confidence they had in their answer. How bad were the vibrations for your mounts when you first installed them?

Ok, I decided to drive through the pain (uncomfortable test drive) and to my surprise the vibrations actually lessened. They are a lot more apparent at idle and in low RPMs, but they seem to be getting better already.

Thanks for your advice.
