k so i have this manual boost controller... and my k04 / pc-16 / all the supporting mods is a lot of fun... but i am hitting 20 psi and am just curious how the car would feel at say 23psi or 24 psi

im not talking doing this long terms BY ANY MEANS ... i just have the mbc and want to give it a try...

i am going to a drag day with mnAudi forum people and want to break 15 seconds badly... and i am toying with the idea of trying this for that day.

i know its probably not a good idea, but for one day can it do catastrophic damage?

my friend boosted his k03 to like 25 psi and that thing FLEW haha... just sayin...

 

I'm sure it'll be alright for a short period of time just watch your gauges closely. I wouldn't want to go much higher though unless you have upgraded headstuds and what not.

 

3rd-5th gear my just ko4 file will spike 25 and hold like 23. 1st and 2nd spike like 22 and hold 20. im not sure but if i can hold 23 i think you probably can.

 

Just be real real real real careful of nasty boost spikes. I know that those turbos start to become inefficient after that point, so pushing something to the max might not be such a good idea if you are going to keep it there and beat the snot out of it all day, ya know? I have my K03s/K04 hybrid running 20psi and its alotta fun

 

yeah thats a good point. i have heard of people running a k04 to like 28psi with the hammer file... i have even heard of people getting 23 psi out of their stock pc-16 file. i just want to TRY that... 23/24 psi for a day. i just have this mbc lying around and want to put it to use.
