So my H&R springs are sitting here in a box. still not sure when i'll have time to get to them. Being as of right now this is my only car so taking the time to pull the suspension out and put the new springs in isn't easy to find on my work schedule.

but i did find the time to do this today.

air box is so bulky and heavy... not to mention ugly

Nice! I just did mine a couple weeks ago.
Have you considered putting the snorkel tube thing back in place? If you can also reinstall the upper airbox cover it will return that area to looking like stock

Also, are you planning on doing a heat shield of some sort?

Check out meloman's time line he has the h&r race springs and it looks really nice. I think you'll be happy with them. Keep up the good work

so lately, before the intake install, my car even with the apr chip feels like its falling on its face when i hit the gas. fuel economy has been going down and i'm a hair under 150k on the stock O2 sensor. So i ordered the new one. if for some reason that doesn't help is there anything else i should look at doing?

Do you have VAG-COM or access to one? Could be worthwhile to check for codes or even just log data while driving to see if everything is being reported properly (like MAF sensor).

no access to one. i replaced some vacuum lines today, and from what i could tell it pepped up a little, but barely noticeable. I hope that O2 sensor comes soon. i'm tired of getting 19mpg
