Default 2005 1.8T Cabrio, Did I make a CVT-purchase mistake?

Did I make a CVT-purchase mistake?

I just bought a 2005 A4 1.8T Cabriolet CVT-auto for my girlfriend.

The transmission does everything fine except it is sluggish if I floor the accelerator from 0-15mph or so. When I test drove the car before purchase, I simply thought the sluggishness was because of the small engine.

I found this forum link, but I am getting a little lost in all the reading, and I am a little short on time.

I am looking for advice on what to check, and what to do...

Default Best way to purchase a service manual?

Best way to purchase a service manual?

Ebay? Dealer? Other?

I've learned the value of a real service manual for other cars in the past, rather than using the stuff like Chilton's and Haynes.

I am new to Audi..

I suppose I might get lucky on Ebay, but is there another way to get a real service manual other than paying full retail from the dealer?

Although CVT transmissions are not the most reliable I don't think that is the issue. I believe what you are experiencing is turbo lag. If you've never driven a car with a turbo before you wouldn't know what it was. It is very common in these cars.

Thanks sburkeatqmi,
Perhaps turbo-lag is what I felt..
I think I will follow the 40k mile transmission fluid change plan to keep things clean...
