Hi, and welcome!

I'm still trying to figure out what the hell you just said. If you'd start using some punctuation, it will help us help you.

Wow, they waited until 105k to do the timing belt? Yikes! I'd bet that they also don't have full maintenance records, too. Sounds like the previous owner was a cheapskate who scrimped when it came to keeping up the maintenance on it.

But at 125k miles, it's at the mileage where all kinds of things will need replacing. You'll probably need to start replacing wheel bearings, controls arms, valve cover gaskets, cam chain tensioner gaskets, and a whole lot more.

How do I know this? Because my 99.5' A4 is doing this to me right now at 123k.

On the other hand, if the seller has all the maintenance records and is offering it for a fair price(check the carfax and Kelly's Blue Book value), it might be worth the money.

Just be warned, however, that these cars are expensive to maintain and repair. So if you don't either A) Have the time, tools and inclination to do repairs yourself; or B) Have a good, reasonably priced independent mechanic nearby who can take care of it for you.....then the S4 may not be the best choice for you.

In my opinion, you have to really been an enthusiast or a masochist(maybe both!) to drive an Audi.

Many people would say that all of jdahlen24's advice applies double to 00-02 S4s. They have a reputation even beyond the usual for Audi in general for being expensive to maintain. That said, they are supposed to be lots of fun, and modding them can result in INSANE amounts of power, so if you've got the money and you don't mind spending it, searching for a nice clean example could result in good times being had by you.

Also, if you scroll down a ways on the main page, there is an S-car specific forum where you might be able to get better and more specific advice, especially since you're asking about a B5 S4 in the B6 A4 section of the forum.
