Default 034 Motorsports EFI ECU

Alright I searched for this one, but I'm looking for some opinions on this ECU/Awesome tuning(in my opinion) option offered in this link: http://www.034motorsport.com/product...products_id=35
This seems to be an awesome means of tuning my A4 and they have custom maps that will make the GT28rs I'm ordering run extremely smooth. What is the general concensus on the 034 Standalone ECU? Another option is to drive to Cali and they Havent had an 02' A4 to use to custom tune a chip that they can offer on their website. They said they would provide me with a custom chip and many hours of dyno tuning for a reasonable price, and once completed they would save the spec's and offer a chip tune for the GT28. I want to get some feedback and see what everyone else thinks about an optimal tuning solution.

It's not a chip. It's a standalone ECU. If you need to pass any kind of inspection, you'll probably fail it. The $1175 is for the ECU only, no tuning or install. You still need to get the wiring harness, throttle by cable conversion, and dyno tuning.

If you want a custom tune there are other options. Companies like Revo and Unitronic offer custom tunes for your ride already and they cost a lot less than the 034 system plus all it's requirements.

In my personal opinion, you really need to do a lot more research before you go forward with this.

probly the best standalone around. but unless your looking for the absolute most out of your setup, i wouldn't get it. its pretty expensive, especially when you include the dyno tuning. REVO has a REALLY good software for a b6 w/ a 28rs. the small gains you'll get with 034 efi over revo doesn't justify the price IMO.

it all comes down to whether you are willing to spend the money. efi IIc is the best tho

chip tunes have recently made it pointless to have a sem on anything under a gt35r... for now. When the 870 and 1000cc files come out, the need will be small

I think the 034 is the sh*t, but it is pretty costly. I wouldnt mind going to cali to have them do the custom tuning. Also they need an a4 to develop a chip tuning option for B6 a4 drivers. I like the amount of customization with the 034 standalone ECU, but we'll see maybe the Revo software will be a better option. http://www.rennart.com/store/index.p...9d29dadf3f1f1f This is a good company that is 2 hours away at the very most and they swear by the revo tuining. Maybe their GT28rs kit with the revo software is the best way to go. Keep in mind that I can spend upwards of $5,000 and I have a guy that installs turbos for many people in lafayette, so he will be helping me with the install.

You really need to like by the KISS moto.... KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID

For the power you plan on making, a simple revo tune is fine
