Default 04 a4/s4 vibration in clutch?

I have an 04 S4 and have experienced a low rumble/large vibration after accelerating hard. It seems definitely related to the clutch and if I ease off driving hard for a while, it goes away. It happens in all gears. It goes away if I ease off or let the car rest. The car has 90K and has been dealer maintained all it's life. As I read posts I hear wheel bearing, throw out bearing, a suspension issue, engine mount, Glazing on the FW, CV joint, or clutch. Any help? Can I keep driving it?

Default A4 2.4 6spd, vibration in clutch

I have the exact same problem, .

I have an A4 cabrio 2.4 6spd. When I rev the engine in neutral with the clutch pedal up the engine revs normally and quietly. When I press the clutch I can hear and feel a vibration which goes up and down with the revs. I hear it in normal driving as well when changing gear particularly. Car has done 90K miles, clutch and gearbox seem fine otherwise.

Most likely a bad throw-out bearing since they are known to go bad on the B6 S4.

Default Funny, that first post describes my problem to a T.

I was at Homestead and doing some warmup laps. I have and 04 S4 as well. Prior to getting there I had some small vibrations in my clutch pedal when I pushed it in along with vibration in my stick. I got to the track and as I put it under load it worsened. I did less than 5 laps and called it a day. For the last year I have been trying to figure out what is wrong. I will look up what a throwout bearing is and also check out the whole motor mount, and shifter bushing wear as best I can

Default 90% solution plus one

Ok, I have an answer to my main problem and another.
1 Main-Vibration in cluctch pedal, stick, and front seats while under load, especially 4k and higher on the tach. Only did this intermittently, so hard to diagnose. Apparently I stil have a small vibration, but so far it is intermittent, but I have yet to feel it, we shall see.
2-3-unrelated but important-I heard loud chattering in my intake manifold

1-The center support bearing was bad. Apparently the rubber seal and other compents that complete it went bad, so what would happen is that it would be out of center while the shaft was turning, causing the vibration. It would go back to center and everything was fine. Like I said, hard to diagnose because it moves.

2-The chattering was actually caused by the reverberations of several bad components that you are unable to see with the naked eye. If you have a boroscope, use it. I had a bad tensioner and idler bearng coupled with a serpentine belt that was left for dead, ribs missing, torn, real bad deal.

3 Unrelated but still important-a bad jounce bumper that fits onto a nipple of your main radiatior, of 3, that absorbs shock, mine was in tatters. Also, when the bumper was pulled off, 1 of my 2 smaller radiators was leaking. Two reasons I didn't notice this, one I am lazy and 2 when it would leak, it dripped onto the skp plates, and blew back onto wherever never to be seen again.

What I have learned is I will check my car more often when it comes to fluids and buy a boroscope as you cannot see those bearings unless you have one or take off your bumper. And yes it cost a lot of money, but I only had to take it once and the dude that works on my car just built a 600 hp S4 Avant, 2001 model I think, so he was not slouch. Any questions and it is all good.
