Default 100K Service on a 2003 V6 quatro 6-speed

Hello everyone,

I am talking my car to the local Audi Dealer for a timing belt service. They quoted me $1500 including tax for a timing belt job including all the necessary parts and coolant and drivebelt.

My question is, is there anything else you guys would recommend I get? Car has been great so far, loving it.

Thank you for taking the time to give me some advice,

Nikos

50 miles or so before the oil change, you may want to Seafoam the oil.I hit 100,000 and had a water pump go out, transaxle electrical problem, coil pack go out, and sludge jamb up the EGR lines and oil pump. The dealer charged me $3500 to fix the sludge issue, but there is a TSB that actually extends the warranty on this issue to 8 years/unlimited mileage, so I should be getting my money back. Now, however, I have an unknown vibration. After 100,000 miles, this thing is trying to break me! Be sure to do oil changes every 3-5000 miles dispite what the manual says. Ours is a 1.8 T motor (which the TSB covers). Not sure about issues with the 3.0 though.

lol, maybe I spoke too soon...

I got a CEL today.. Pulled the code... Apparently it was for o2 sensors on both bays.

Does that mean they are going bad periodically? Once I cleared the CELs, they didn;t come up yet.,.. what is going on?

Thank you in advance

sounds like your cat is about to go out.. if the code comes back you're gonna have to spend some money.

Please do tell, I have no experience with AUDI cars.

Any pointers are greatly appreciated?

Can I remove the cats if they do go bad? There are no emissions here

In case I have to replace them, how much we are talking about?

So far I have been spoiled for the past 30K miles and the car has been great... Maybe it is time to consider selling it after the new timing belt gets installed... but I love the car too much to sell it, I think.. I have been thinking about supercharging it... hahaha

Will the car keep running with bad catalytic converters? Bad o2 sensors?

if they go bad, can I replace them with straight pipes ? Will the car show codes? Will the straight pipes kill the o2 sensors more frequently?
