i personally have the fwd 1.8t and was wondering the difference between the quatro. I know that the quatro is slower from 0-60, tires go bad quicker, worse on gas, and is heavier. But is it worth it to sell my fwd to convert over to a quatro?

There is no way the quattro is slower to 60. Ever do a hard launch in a quattro, ya' know the kind where you don't care if you break something? Do that in a fwd...... And depending on where ya' live makes it easier to drive in less than fantastic conditions esp rain.

I would only think that if the quattro is an AT

Only upgrade if you have a known reason. I needed another car for the next driver coming along, and the one I found just happened to be a Quattro, but I would have been fine with another FWD. But, I also have two other 4x4 vehicles to get around in snow and such, what little we get around here.
