2004 A4 1.8T Ultra Sport (This weekend)
Hello "Audi members" I'm looking to pick up a 2004 Audi A4 1.8T AWD 6-speed Ultra Sport this weekend. Its Black on Black 92K miles. I was looking around the forums and online for common issues with this model, but they seem pretty solid.
My plan of attack once I get the car is to do the following.
1. New timing belt and pulley's
2. New water pump & T-stat
3. Plugs
4. Air filter
5. Fuel Filter
6. Oil/Filter change
7. Change both CTC sensors
Anything else recommended? Anything I should look for when I go test drive?
Thanks!!

great looking car and a good start on maintenance.
just a few things to add if they havent been done already: valve cover gasket and cam seals/plugs.
sounds like you have everything else covered.good luck!

Thank man will do, plans changed and I think im going to end up with a 2004 1.8T 5 speed black on black FWD, The other dealer wanted a $330 month payment. This new dealer has me @ $161 month with a better rate. Here is the new one.
instead of comparing monthly payments, compare the actual price of the car. If it's dealer financing, you're probably getting screwed either way. If the financing is through a bank, then they have to offer the same rate/ payment for similar cars that cost about the same...
That being said, I'm sure the UltraSport with quattro is a bit pricier than the regular with FWD...
But quattro is simply awesome, and if you can find a way to get the UltraSport, I would stick with that. If the dealer knows you have another car in mind, he might be more willing to negotiate on price/ payment.
Good luck!
