My Wife was driving the 2004 A4 and it just went Crazy she said. The motor in the glove box started freaking out, the windows wont roll up or down, the trunk locked and wont open, the dome light flashes randomly, there is a alarm siren goin off in the rear pass corner, and the soft top wont operate. I have disconnected the battery several times even for a few days, connected a obd2 scanner to it no codes, check most all the fuses and can't seem to find anything wrong.. Anyone had anything like this happen before. If anyone can just help me get the windows up it would be greatly appreciated..

 

sounds like a short somewhere...

last week i accidentally shorted out the cigarette lighter socket, it blew the fuse but after that i had a cel code, esp light came on, gauge cluster needles were sweeping. i scanned with vag com and it came up with multiple codes all pointing to "short to ground".

pull all fuses except for fuel pump, engine management and see if it still occurs. then start placing fuses back in until the issue occurs again.
