Default 2004 A4 headlight replacement/suggestions

Hello all. I recently purchased a 2004 Audi A4 1.8T. I hardly drive it and actually drove it for the first time at night this past weekend. I noticed that it doesn't have HID, which I thought all 2004 A4s came with. Rather than pay to have the conversion done, can anybody out there suggest a xenon headlight or specific brand of headlight that looks good and still has that blue/purple tint to it? Thanks in advance for your input!

Sylvania makes good bulbs. I just bought some ultravisions which are a huge difference in brightness. Most bulbs you get that are tinted arent going to be as bright. Sylvania also has the cool blue series. Make sure you buy them off ebay,B6 models use the H7 series, the site has a guide for autos. This saved me 50 dollars.

Thanks a lot man. So you think the ultravisions are brighter than the stock oem bulbs? Do these have a blue coloring to them, or just the cool blue series? I don't want the fake looking blue bulbs that you see on street-racers ya know? If I could find something that gives off that purpleish color without sacrificing brightness.

I would suggest ordering the conversion kit if you're afraid ofadding a "cheap look" to the car.

You can pay around $80 (vvme.com) for the kit and install it yourself in under an hour and a half. I'm fairly certain that you're going to spend a decent amount on the bulbs described above so why not go for the real thing if you're going to shell out the cash?

Just my opinion. I installed the vvme HID's and I am very happy with them.

UV's are def brighter than stock. If you want the color AND the brightness you have to get the HIDs.

I have the PIAA Xtreme white plus bulbs and love them. They're 70 bucks, but that beats a GOOD conversion kit, takes minutes to install and wont throw the codes that some HID conversions do. They have a slight hint of blue, but not Honda ricer blue.
