Hey there - first time finding these forums, I hope I can find some basic help here. Thanks in advance!

The passenger-side glovebox hinge for my 2005 A4 just popped and broke today, causing the contents of the glove box to puke all over my front seat.

OK - now that you (and I) are done snickering, I'm looking to replace that hinge at a minimum of cost. Is it a separate part, or does the whole glove-box door come as a unit? The drivers-side hinge is still intact and looks to be OK. Right now it's secured shut and locked, so I don't suspect it'll pop open again and break any more.

I'm in Chicago, if there's anyone locally reading this plea.

Thanks, but I'm not quite to that point of kludging parts for the car, yet. ;-) Anyone know a good used part place or something I could look for?

 

Shokan.com, but seriously e-bay is your best source probably. I believe some B5.5 passats will fit on here.
