Default 3.0 help (with Video)

I started to get a slight ticking in my engine a few days ago. I'm past due on my oil change and have 105,000 miles on the car. I figured i would do the sea-foam treatment but wanted a little advise. I've read that some people put 1/3 of a can into each the oil, vacuum line, and gas tank. I talked to my mechanic and he told me to put a whole can into the oil, let it warm up, then do an oil change. I'm aware that it thins the oil, but i wont be driving so it shouldn't be too bad. I'm just curious as to if this is too much? I haven't read about anyone else doing it with that much in the oil at 1 time. But if i do have an issue with sludge, wouldn't a potent solution be better? Also after i do it, what oil should i fill it with? Should i use a thicker oil in case there is some left in the crank? any help would be greatly appreciated, because i don't like even driving the car wit the tick so i would like to get this taken care of asap...

It depends on the oil capacity, if its less than 6 quarts (yours is about 6) i would use half a can. If it was an S4 with 9, then a full can would be ok.
You can use whatever oil you want, but i don't think changing the weight will make any difference. Just get a quality synthetic.

I hope you are not "past due" on your timing belt. BTW, I've read many, many good things about Seafoam but when I asked my indie if he thought it was worth it, he said "no". Of course, unlike you, I change my oil regularly and the car has 176k on it.

I'm only about 500 miles over... and i started hearing it about the time it was due. And i had the timing belt done at 95000 miles just out of curiosity, ppgoal, what shop do you take your car to?

heres a video of the noise. You can hear it at about 3000 rpm. Its just a slight rattle but enough for me to know its not right

Curious as to why you were driving while making your video... does it not make the sound when you are parked and rev to 3K?

nobody has any ideas? I did a full can of seafoam. Looks like it worked pretty good, oly not with my problem. I still have the noise just the same. I started listening around while at idle and the best i can tell it is coming from the bottom in the back of my motor. kind of hard to tell exactly but thats where i can hear it the loudest. Any idea what could be causing it? like i said, hardly noticable at idle or cruising normally, but very noticable under heavy acceleration between 2800 and about 4000rpm

I would do your timing belts and replace all the tensioners/rollers/pullies. Sounds like the bearings are going bad on one of them.
