3.0 PCV Valve/ CPRV- Whistling on Acceleration?

I have been getting a weird whistling noise on acceleration, intermittently. It seems to do it between shifts when I am accelerating sometimes.

Does this sound like the PCV Valve? How can I test this further?

Try & remove the oil cap with the engine running. If it is difficult to remove the crankcase vent valve is probably toast.
