Default 3.0 Quattro Oil Change

I just picked up my '05 Audi B6 3.0 Quattro on Friday and don't anticipate having to change the oil for a little while, but have been doing research and wanted to prepare for my first oil change.

I see a lot of people use Mobile 1 in Audi's...looks like the recommended weight is 0W30 for my car...What oils are you all using out there and what weight?

I believe for the Mobile 1, its 0W40.

but that type is hard to find, usually I throw Castrol Full-Syntec 0W30 in.

Any idea what the dealerships use for their oil changes? I would hope it's synthetic?

In my users manual, it stated use 0W40. I just use Mobile 1 0W40 full synthetic and purchase the filter from dealer.

I get my oil changes at the dealership. I always ask for Synthetic, if you don't, they might just put regular oil since the car does not have a turbo. Come to think about it... my car is due for an oil change!

Where are you able to find 0W40 Mobil 1?

I bought Mobile 0W40 from canadiantire store. (I'm living in Canda)
Itz around $8 bucks per liter of 0w40, we need total 6 liters. So around 50 bucks.
