i have been lookin @ at sum performance upgrades an was wondering if any1 has any idea wut should b done 2 reach the 325 hp mark for a daily driver... i didnt want 2 do anything thats gonna constantly throw a CEL or ESP light does any1 have ideas for my project..

325 chp or awhp? big difference...

i thought ESP had to be turned off manually everytime u start but someone mentioned ASP can do it?

and as far as the cEL goes, it only comes on when something breaks.. if u build a shitty, half assed kit, it will probably be coming on a lot... if you do it right, there are lots of BT kits running reliably as daily drivers getting almost 30MPG


you have the ATP/GTRS,GT28RS/gt2871r/REVO combo.. probably good for 250-325awhp, (REVO BT flashes are designed for the genesis 550cc injectors now instead of the old 440cc) , APR stage 3+, ASP 3+

any of those kits installed correctly with the needed supporting mods will give you 275+ reliable awhp if not closer to 300 (depending on your dyno) but at any rate, you will be scooting along nicely if u step on it

i also 4got 2 mention its a fwd cvt.. an do u have any websites that carry that kit.. an how much should i b lookin @ spending 4 that

HMM shouldnt really be modding a cvt too much for power.. search on www.audizine.com , i know there are a few gtrs TIP trannies but im not sure about CVTs, i dont think they hold the power well and they arent cheap to fix

I wouldn't do more than a Stage 1+ on a CVT car. The transmission is just not built for big power. I'm not even going Stage 1+ on my Avant because of the Tip. I've read of plenty of guys commenting that the Tip shifts all wonkers with a high state of tune. I'll be on my merry way with 215 crank hp and decent gas mileage. I already have two other fast cars.

CVT's are only designed to handle about 250 HP max at the crank, you won't be able to domore than just a chip. If you want to exceed this power level just remember that a new CVT tranny usually runs about $5,000

I did a GTRS Eliminator kit for a customer with CVT transmission. He has had it for about two and one half years now with no isssues. We detuned it to about 300CHP but it scoots along nicely.

if you did do a BT kit, GTRS will have a nice smooth power band that would probably be easier on the tranny than a 1+ program...

If you think about it that's big money to throw down for a little over 50 more crank hp than bolt ons and a chip. Its all a personal decision but if you think spending at least $4,000 for a slightly quicker CVT go for it. Also I'm sure CVT loses even more hp than a TIP so what are you really putting down to the wheels?
