Talking A4 b6 no heat!! Help

OK,
I am having issues getting the cab heated. I had my timing belt ,tensioner and water pump (metal propeller) replaced about 7 months ago (75k). I just had the heater core flushed and 1 cts sensor(dont ask me why he only did 1) replaced. OK.....heres whats happening as of today.

I get cool (not cold) when warmed up for ten minutes......then when i drive it....the temp gauge will drop from normal to cold......then when i sit idle it will go to normal temp on gage and blow warm heat.....as soon as i drive it the gauge goes to cold and cold air blows from the heater. The other night i had it running idle for about 45 minutes and the heat got really hot then and the car ran at normal temp. Do i need a new thermostat?? Replace CTS sensor? Heater core toast? Air in coolant line? Head gasket? Ive seen so many diffrent response on threads but none have the problem of it driving cold and running normal temp and heat works when idle. This is my first post and my first Audi....be gentle. Thanks in advance.

Post Timing Belt Replacement

Hi,

How much does it cost for Timing Belt Replacement. I am planning to get it done, as my car mileage has reached 75000 now...

I am from St Louis..

Mine cost around 600 from a private shop. Audi dealership wanted 1000 to do the job.

i am experiencing this exact same problem! looking for any comments or advise.

almost last year i changed the timing belt and waterpump on the car. Everything was fine.

Yesterday I changed the thermostat assembly, and flushed the coolant.

Today i might replace the other 1 or 3 cts.

I really hope this isnt a issue with the heatercore....

Have you noticed if you are leaking any coolant? I would check your coolant flange. Its on the backside of the motor facing the firewall. Look at the exhaust underneath it and see if there is any residue from coolant. Here is a Link for a DIY.

Sounds to me like either a.) you didn't properly top off the coolant system, air in the line. or b.) you have a leak somewhere in the system. also probably wouldn't hurt to make sure you got those green top cts sensors.

This is my first post, and I have the same problem, and I do have a leak back there. My question is after i replace the flange where do I bleed air from the system after replacing the coolant?
