hey guys how are you? my names is Chris im new here! now what sucks is i crashed my 02 a4 but the engine is fine the 1.8. my buddies has a 99 body he is giving me and i was wondering what i had to do to do and engine swap? im pretty sure both engines are the same and the 02 engine will bolt in but im not sure on everything else like wiring harnesses engine mounts things like that if you guy can give me some help i greatly appreciate it thank you!

 

nope, basically the only similarity is the displacement. different head, block, waterpump design, etc...

sell your wrecked a4, and swap a vr6 into the 99.
