After having some work done on my A4 which involved the Battery being disconnected my fob does not unlock/lock my car only if put in the doorlock & turned. Is their a way i can pair it up again without spending money?

the typical re-syncing method is as follows:
1. turn key in the ignition to the accessory position
2. press the unlock button on the fob
3. remove key from ignition and see if it works
