Air Pod/Air Fillter HELP
Hey Guys Well I am new to this Forums any help is much appreciated. I have a 2002 1.8T A4 B6 Was thinking of installing AIR POD/AIR FILLTER (they both same right) to my car to give me the WOOOSH sound which I heard it can be done through installing that, is it hard to self install. I do not want Blow of Value since I have heard the REF has to reach up to 4000 5000 RPM to release The WOOOOOOSSHHH sound
Thanks

RE: Air Pod/Air Fillter HELP
i believe you are talking about installing a cold air intake to replace the exisiting airbox, am it right? assuming so, installing one of these is pretty easy, not to difficult but wont necessarily give you the whoosh sound of a bov. It will make the engine more audible and you will be able to hear the turbo spooling up much more clearly, but i dont think it will give you the whoosh sounds you are trying to get.

RE: Air Pod/Air Fillter HELP
the stock airbox is a very well designed airbox from the get go. It has been said that there is no need to replace it as it works sufficiently and as opposed to many other cars, when you change the CAI, normally there is an increase in hp/tq. However with the engines that are in the a4, there is no gain in hp/tq, but there is that increase in turbo whoosh. Most ppl still install this CAI because they want to hear the turbo more and it looks great. Also down the line i think its suggested to replace it when ppl chip their cars or get a bigger turbo i believe, but dont quote me of the last part
