Default anybody know what this is

anyone know what this is theres a bunch of white stuff building up on it and my car sounds like its gargling for air by the intake and this thing is right above it any idea heres a pic its on a 03 1.8t fwd

it appears to be a check valve. Those tend to corride away after time and need to be replaced in order not to throw a code due to vac leak. This will also cause the car to studder. U can pick this part up at a audi or vw dealership or get it online.

Ordered online. They will work to replace all but one check valve;The one that has three nips

Sorry to be dense, but to clarify, I can just get one of these things to replace this busted vacuum check valve the blue thing, its at the rear of the intake manifold in the rear circled area) instead of ordering one for $42 from the dealer?

Its really just a one way air valve, right?
