If you live in the SF Bay Area or in the Northern California area, I live in Fairfield, I need a referral of someone you trust to work on your car. I called the Diablo Audi and they quoted me 1100+ change to change the timing belt. My car doesn't need it just yet, but it will someday, so it would be nice to have a shop I can go to that won't 1. rape me. 2. do a real good job. Thanks.

I'm in the same area, and in the same boat. The only place that I've called is Kovachs motors in San Rafeal, they quoted me $1500

 

These are some places in NorCal that I would trust:

Stasis in Sonoma, 2Bennett in Davis, East County European Autoworks in Brentwood (the guy who owns East County, he used to be a tech at Livermore Audi), and BR Racing in Los Gatos. You should've posted this in the West section... would've had more responses.
