Default Audi RNS-E

I have a RNS-E navigation in my B6, works great, I purchased to replace my Symphony II w/ satellite radio.

My issue is, when I try to use satellite on my RNS-E it tells me that it has built-in satellite but I must take it to a dealer, does anyone know why? Any suggestion of what I should do?

Thank you!!!!

Is it only the satellite radio part that doesn't work? Does the FM radio work, or is the unit still in SAFE mode?

Sweet looking B6, btw. Very beautiful!

Only the satellite radio part doesn't work, everything else works just fine, no issues at all. Once I have hit the satellite button, it starts to play one station of xm or sirius I'm not sure, it keeps on playing but on the screen only says to bring to a dealer. I was thinking it was a software update or something but I can't find what the latest version is or where to download it from.

Thank you, this is my baby. I spend more time taking care of this car than I do on my self lol

Oh, that sounds like the normal behavior for SiriusXM. You have to call them and activate an account. They're going to need the SN for the SiriuXM tuner, which should be available via one of the menu items on the radio. I don't have the RNS-E, so I don't know where it's hidden. But it's there somewhere.

I'll try that! Thank you very much!
