Default auto A4 1.8T Ultrasport question

all right my mom has a Auto A4 1.8T Ultrasport quattro.. and she is sick of the semi sluggish acceleration... what mods can we do to it to give it a little more low end pickup. I was thinking of a chip.. but idk if that will do what i need from it.

thank you for your help.

so pretty much your saying go with a chip... and that getting an intake wont help with the turbo lag???... i dont see a chip helping with low end power.... In my head i see 2 things helping with low end torque.. and that would be intake and exhaust... getting the air in quicker and out smoother will help to get rid of turbo lag, and backpressure.

(sigh)... go with a chip. low end is what you want right?. exhaust will do nothing for you... and im sure your mom would appreciate the chip more.
ok the chip boosts up your turbo psi.. turbo is torque. you will feel a much harder pull. trust me

intake really does not do anything. go with a chip. or stop asking for help. if you want intake and exhaust go for it. waste some money and the car will feel identical. i gaurantee it. anyone here can argue what they want. but i did exhaust before chip on my car. big mistake. go ahead and make the same one if you wish

alright i guess chip it is then if it will help with the lowend torque... I was not trying to argue with you im just used to chiping my E36 M witch is more high end stuff. i guess if a chip will help with the power from 0-3000 rpms then i guess thats the first mod.. and then an intake.

From what I have come to know about the Tiptronic 1.8T cars I'm only planning on an ECU upgrade as far as engine performance mods go. I already did my DV and TIP.

I'm going to spend my money on suspension. The damn thing looks like it's an Allroad sitting on the stock suspension. If I do any brake upgrades to my S4 (unlikely since I don't track) I'll donate the cast off's to the Avant.

Right now the thing has so much body roll it's like riding a tilt-a-whirl.
