My B6 came from the factory with a wing type spoiler instead of a lip spoiler... Anybody ever seen that before? I have been lurking on here and have never seen another picture of one. Mine is same color as the car and has the brake light built in the rear. I checked the mounting and it looks stock. Was that only an option on the 2002 as thats what mine is... Yhx!

 

Did you buy the car new or used? Is there another light in the standard location for the 3rd brake light? (in the bottom-middle of the rear window)

 

Bought it used. the only brake light near the rear window/rear deck is the one in the spoiler.

 

Interesting, I've never seen a factory wing spoiler but anything is possible. It could either be a VERY clean install of an aftermarket or the dealership it came from could have had a performance mod division to do it. My car was equipted with the Votex kit at the dealership when it was new.

I took a look at it while it was in the shop and it looks like it does hava brak light hidden in the bottom of the window. I guess it is aftermarket... The job is clean, but I have always wondered about that spoiler. Any way I could have it removed and a lip installed? I suppose I would have to fill the holes. This car is a pain in the ***!
