if it blows your entire budget, then no. Find an older B5 if you want an audi awd. These are safe cars and great to learn on. If you do venture into another brand, as a new driver I HIGHLY recommend awd and front and side impact airbags (rear sides too if you can). I've been in a couple accidents (worst being my college roommate rolling over my beloved first car - a toyota pickup) and have these bits of advice: don't get too attached to your first car and blow loads of money on it and make sure it's safe. You're a new driver and will certainly ding it up but want to be safe in the process.

I just read this.

You're telling me you have not much money and you wanna buy a 3.0???

6 cylinders are pricier to fix and use more gas add to that the fact that it's an automatic and you have yourself a ride that's very expensive to own and maintain. Get a 1.8T manual (you'll find one just be patient) and then chip later on

1.8T's are cheaper to fix and maintain.

Good luck

You're best bet is to buy a cheap car that you can afford and when you're makin better money, buy yourself an Audi. Otherwise, when something goes wrong, you will own an audi that only looks cool in your driveway.

Yes, a b6 is right for you. I am 16 as well and drive a b6 a4. I love it. 2004 1.8 turbo quattro 6-speed manual. However, what everyone is saying here is true; it will dig into your pocket. So my only regret was not getting a 3.0 cause i have not had any money at all to mod it.

Don't buy it though. It's an automatic

You cant have other people decide what you should buy. Only you can decide what kind of car you should purchase. Unless you're spoon-fed like the poster above, take your time researching and saving for something you know you like.

i did take time researching....... looked at MR2, 944, tsx, 318is, 3-speed mazda, 93 saab, celicas, rsx, 318ti, b5 a4.

I'm sure anyone on this forum will agree audi was the better choice
