Default 2012 already!

Hiyas! 04 A4, 102,000 on it. Been pretty reliable and the wife and I have been pretty happy with it. Actually, she refuses to trade it in.

I may have to begin the SLE program on it soon.

Default Fender Bender

On another note...I recently got a light bump on my driver side fender which resulted in quite a dent. Went to couple of bodyshops they all said I need a new one. Costs ranged from 800-1400 which is a lot of $$$$.....here's what I did

Bought a new primered driver side fender from eBay for $70 and i'm planning to replace it myself

Question: I think I'll be able to replace it but I need to paint over the primered panel before replacing. I'm looking at automotivetouchup.com to buy the paint n stuff from...what do you guys think? I also checked my paint code with the paint code registry they had on their website which was a fail...my paint is black and their website says blue! any way I can fix this? I got it from the user service booklet writing for this car.

Total cost at the end of the day should be about $150...sorry if i'm being cheap but I'm at college and I ain't got potloads $$$ to spend....awesome cheap fix though right?

Awesome to see theres a b6 thread!
Each time i fill up my car it struggles to start or sometimes takes two or three cranks to start up. My initial thought was the fuel pump is defective but I've talked to other owners that replaced fuel pumps and continue to have the problem. Any advice?

Im also looking to install apr stage 1 chip + injectors in a few weeks. Any advice or comments in regards to those upgrades? Thanks!

hey every one i have a serious problem with my car it is a 2002 a4 3.0 i think my ecu is fried sometimes when i fire up the car it will rev up to 3000rpm and will stay there until i start driving and after about 5 min it will go back to normal.. and if i turn of the engine it wont start up after about 20 min so i have to wait every time.( this happens rarely)!! Also when i drive the car in the rain it wont start after until i boost it because the battery completely dies. and i see white smoke coming from the battery's positive terminal! recently the car will not start at all! i was told it is the alternator.. any advice?

Sounds like the alternator. Electronics do freaky things when it goes bad.
