B7 RS4 Front bumper - what do you all think?
Hi folks,
Seriously contemplating this for my current B6 A4 UltraSport. I love the look of the RS4 front bumper - take a look here:

What do you all think about the fact the bumper is fiberglass:

Cost and production issues. Some dislike fiberglass. However there is good, well engineered fiberglass out there. This hand-made bumper is excellent and carefully produced. It's well engineered and the fiberglass is first rate. But remember, approximately 50% of the front is the OEM Audi RS4 grill plus the corner foglight grills are Audi RS4 parts. Translation, the front is 50% plastic and 50% fiberglass. Remember, fiberglass is lightweight and easy to repair if need be. You cannot be disappointed with the quality. (unquote)
The other thing that bothers me, which is listed on the site, is (#1), a "hood extension" which must be glued, then "blended" and painted so the new bumper will actually fit. Does anyone have an experience with pieces that need to be blended? I worry about the seem eventually cracking.... it would look horrible IF it did.
Would like opinions on this - anyone know anybody who's done it?

I may try the vinny mod - I'm assuming that's what you have - looks great.
How did you get it to stick on (3m tape I'm sure), but what about the color - did you use that rubberized spray paint? How did you get it to bend around the USP middle section - or is it just that pliable?
Have you smacked it on a curb - what happened?
