Hello all,

I have a 03 1.8t quattro auto trans no mods.It is making an awful rattling noise only when I accelerate. It will sit their and idle fine until i give it gas. I went to pull out and i noticed it had no power at all it would move but barely and made a bad rattling noise almost as if something was broken and rattling inside something. I drifted down the hill and found a spot to turn around and went to go back up the hill and i barely made it up it. Even when in park and i rev it up it makes that rattling noise.

Also I can usually hear a little whistle from my turbo and did not hear it all. Though the car was making a lot of noise so that could of covered up the little whistle it does have. The check engine light has come on but i don't have anything to pull the codes with. If anyone would have any idea what this could be and could please give me some advice It would be greatly appreciated.

If more info is needed ill try my best to give it to you. I would really like to know what im up against here. Or if anyone knows of a thread relating similiar problems please direct me their!! Thanks for your time.

 

Scan the car, that's the first thing you need to do since you have the cel on and than any one can help you with the codes

 

Ok, Thanks for the reply. It will be going to the garage Wednesday, I was just trying to get an idea of what ill be spending on repairs for the 4th time..
