Hey guys I'm brand new here, just been looking for a couple days through the forums for info on this issue. I own a 2003 A4 1.8T Q Sedan, standard, with 118k and she's been without issue since I bought her.

Recently however when I go just a little harder on the throttle I notice a sound like a paperclip rattling in a tin can but never 1st gear, apparently just 2nd and 3rd. It seems to be right when the turbo starts to spool up. Its like there's something lodged in my intake or something although I've poked around and really there's nothing loose or foreign that I can tell.

i would first check to make sure ur heatshield is tightly on.
